Dr. Evelyn Robertson

Dr. Robertson owns and operates the consulting firm Robertson and Associates. Founded in 2002 Robertson and Associates is a change management and training consultancy with experience assisting large organizations in designing and implementing strategic change and tactical business improvement strategies. A scholar-practitioner, Robertson uses an approach rooted in strong business ethics, a commitment to knowledge transfer and a focus on improved bottom line results. She is experienced in the successful development and delivery of innovative programs as well as the implementation of targeted leadership, management, and change strategies. Her functional areas of expertise include organization change, change management, organization effectiveness, knowledge management, total quality/six sigma, and training and development. Previously Dr. Robertson held numerous management positions at Xerox Corporation culminating in the management of certain global programs at the Xerox Leadership Institute. In her last position with Xerox, she assisted in the design and implementation of a corporate knowledge management initiative, corporate diversity initiative, and guided global corporate programs to assess and prepare emerging leaders for senior level positions. She assisted headquarters with leadership development research, planning, and implementation. Dr. Robertson has provided organization change/change management consulting expertise to numerous organizations including Beckman Coulter, Xerox, Advanced Medical Optics, Saxon-Morgan Stanley, Port of Long Beach, Southern California Edison, Port of San Diego, Los Angeles Unified School District, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, San Diego International Airport, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Northeastern Regional Hospital, Sun MicroSystems, Compaq, Kinko’s, Irvine Ranch Water District, Philip Morris, and Xerox China Limited. A frequent speaker, Robertson has appeared before groups such as Bell Laboratories, Disney Imagineering, US Dept. of the Navy, University of California Irvine, National Educational Services, Donnelly Information Publishing, Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Alpha Graphics, Association of California School Administrators, and Baker, Hostetler, McCutchen & Black Law Firm. Robertson is a former adjunct professor in the Organizational Leadership doctoral program at Pepperdine University. Robertson earned an Ed.D. in Organization Change (2001) and a M.B.A. (1995) both from Pepperdine University (Malibu, California), and a B.Sc. in Business from University of Washington (Seattle). Her research culminated in a doctoral dissertation entitled a “Comparative Analyses of Knowledge Management Practices in a United States of America High-Technology Multi-National Corporation Located in the People’s Republic of China and High Technology Firms in the U.S. Silicon Valley.” Board of Director memberships include: Vanguard University (Board Trustee, Chair, Committee on Advancement), Los Angeles Urban League (Chair, Executive Compensation Committee) , Transportation Foundation of Los Angeles (Vice Chair, Board Member), Phi Delta Kappa (Doctorate Level Honor Society), Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (Former State Director of Awards and Director of Training), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority (Charter Member, Long Beach), Christian Life Church (Board Trustee), and the Austin Executives Association. The American Business Women’s Association honored Robertson with their Business Associate of the Year Award. Robertson also received a Commendation from Don Knabe, Supervisor, Fourth District, Los Angeles County. Assembly Member, Betty Karnette, 54th A.D. acknowledged Dr. Robertson’s contributions with a Certificate of Recognition.
